Becoming Catholic through the program known as Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a process of welcoming people who are interested in learning about the Catholic Faith Tradition. It is a process for those who are unbaptized; baptized in another Christian denomination who seek to be in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church; or for those baptized Catholics who are in need of completing their Sacraments of Initiation (Reconciliation, Confirmation, First Eucharist). The OCIA is open to all adults 18 or over.
The process begins with scheduling a meeting with Kim. Weekly classes are in large and small group format on Sunday mornings beginning in August and continuing through Pentecost.
If you know someone who may be interested in finding out what the Catholic Church believes, teaches and why and is interested in becoming Catholic, or is Catholic and in need of completing their sacraments, please send them our way!
Contact Kim Doyle, Becoming Catholic Coordinator, at [email protected] or 480-899-1990, ext. 181, and she will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting, explain the process, and answer any questions and/or concerns there may be.
