Mysterium Christianum is a program that provides Faith Formation opportunities for 2nd to 5th-grade students. The instruction is based on the standard classroom arrangement, with the catechist taking the lead in imparting the Faith, engaging the students in activities, and preparing them to receive the sacraments they need.

What about sacrament preparation?

• Baptized and unbaptized children joining Mysterium Christianum will begin learning about the mysteries of our faith, including the sacraments.
• Grade 2 is focused on learning about Baptism and Reconciliation.
• Grade 3 is focused on learning about Confirmation & First Eucharist.
• Grades 4 & 5 have classes focused on learning about the aforementioned sacraments, depending on the day (see the schedule below).
• For information about sacrament preparation for students in Grade 6 or above, please go to the Quest and Life Teen pages.
• During class registration, we will meet with you to help determine what class will best meet the needs of your child in their spiritual journey.

Per Diocesan policy, sacrament preparation is a minimum two-year journey. However, it is also contingent upon the individual candidate's spiritual journey and may take longer at the discretion of the pastor and his youth ministers.

Class times: Tuesdays & Wednesdays (5:15-6:15pm)

• Grade 2 First Reconciliation Preparation
• Grade 3 Confirmation & First Eucharist Preparation
• Grade 4/5 Off Track Year I (First Reconciliation Preparation) – Tuesday only
• Grade 4/5 Off Track Year II (Confirmation & First Eucharist Preparation) – Wednesday only
