Divine Mercy Cenacle
The St. Andrew Divine Mercy Cenacle started in June 2010. It is a Chapter of the Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy, a Lay Outreach Ministry of the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception B.V.M., headquartered in Stockbridge, Massachusetts at the National Shrine of Divine Mercy at Eden Hill.
The mission of the Divine Mercy Cenacle is to spread the Message and Devotions of Divine Mercy, as revealed by Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska. The ABC’s of the Message of Divine Mercy include: A--Ask for God’s Mercy; B—Be merciful to others; and C–Completely trust in God’s mercy. The five elements of devotion can be remembered by the acronym F.I.N.C.H: F—Feast of Divine Mercy (the Sunday following Easter Sunday); I—Image of Divine Mercy; N—Novena of chaplets; C—Chaplet of Divine Mercy; and H—Hour of Mercy.
The Divine Mercy Cenacle meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Group members discuss related elements of The Diary of St. Faustina, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Scripture around themes that relate to our everyday life. Prayers of gratitude and petition are expressed, as well as praying a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the dying, an end to abortion, vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and peace in our world. Spiritual fellowship is developed and strengthened by increased understandings of our rich Catholic Faith. Members often choose to perform various spiritual and corporal works of mercy together at Church and in the Community.
New members are always invited and welcomed. Please plan to join us at any Divine Mercy Cenacle on the second Tuesday of the month in Room B at 7:00-8:30.
