Confirmation / First Eucharist

Preparation for the Sacraments of Confirmation with First Eucharist is open to all Baptized students who are currently:

• Registered parishioners
• Currently enrolled in Religious Education or Catholic School
• Completed Reconciliation Preparation Program in their first year of sacramental preparation
• Are in the second year of their sacramental preparation

Confirmation / First Eucharist classes begin on the last week of August. Registration should be done at the same time you register your child for RE. A copy of the candidate/confirmandi Baptismal Certificate is also needed to complete the registration process unless the student prepared for Reconciliation here at St. Andrew. If a child is only preparing for confirmation, then a copy of the first communion certificate is required in addition to the baptism certificate.

At least one parent/guardian and the child seeking the sacrament are expected to attend each of the three family sessions + the rehearsals as well as working together on provided materials at home. Attendance at all sessions is required for full preparation for the Sacrament. Registration for both religious education classes and sacramental prep classes are required.
